On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the first documentary reference to the Toro de Cuerda tradition in Carcabuey (1625–2025), this documentary invites viewers to journey through four centuries of history, tradition and identity.
Through a narrative combining testimonies from historians, local residents, runners and members of the Asociación Toro de Cuerda de Carcabuey, together with archive footage and spectacular contemporary sequences, the film reconstructs the evolution of a celebration deeply rooted in the collective memory of the town.
Beyond the excitement of the bull releases, the documentary reveals the human and cultural value of a tradition passed down from generation to generation thanks to the effort, dedication and commitment of those who have kept it alive.
